'Critical Time' was commissioned by Norfolk and Norwich Festival, and is part of an Arts Council-funded project.

We led workshops at Church of England Bishop's Primary Academy in Thetford, South Norfolk, to make visuals for this piece. The workshops were led by Ian Brownlie and Paul Thompson, and Paul also edited together our the film, from the children's drawings. The project explores ideas of borders, landscape and climate change.

Many thanks to Daniel Brine and James Hardie from NNFestival for supporting this project, and thanks to Matthew Bourne for recording the piano version, and to Thomas Howe for assistance with the piano score. Watch with the films here:

NB: There are a few unfortunate mistakes in the 'Critical Time' booklet. These are:

a) The second bottom note in the left hand of bar 43 should be a G.

b) The repeat mark at bar 187 should be at bar 186.

c) The lower note in the left hand in bars 250 & 270 should a G (below).
